Arno Kraft studied Chemistry at the University of Würzburg in Germany where he received his PhD degree in 1989. During a 3-year postdoctoral stay in the group of Prof. Andrew Holmes in Cambridge he was involved in the development of some of the first electroluminescent polymers. He then spent 7 years at the University of Düsseldorf where he completed his habilitation in Organic Chemistry and Macromolecular Chemistry. He is currently a lecturer at Heriot-Watt Chemistry with an interest in polymer chemistry.
